I have mobility issues/special needs - can I attend the school?

There is a limited amount of accommodation available which facilitates special needs, and not all of that accommodation is suitable for all needs. In order for us to assist with assigning suitable accommodation, please fill in the special requests section of the booking form, with details of your needs. If a need arises after you have booked, please inform the registrar as soon as possible. We would appreciate being kept up to date if your situation improves and you no longer need the accommodation originally requested.

Our support team will be in contact with you in advance of the school if you advise us on the booking form of any additional needs. Suitable accommodation may not be confirmed until nearer the date of the school, after the team has assessed all the information.

My child has additional needs. Will this be catered for?

We do our utmost to cater for all special needs that we are informed about. It is very important that you give us as much information as possible so that we can try and have facilities in place. Our support team will be in contact with you in advance of the school if you advise us on the booking form of any additional needs.

Is the accommodation close to where talks and classes are taking place? I cannot walk very far.

In most cases the accommodation, dining room and classrooms are some distance away from each other. If you need a rollator or wheelchair you should bring your own. It may be possible for us to provide a basic wheelchair while at school if you are flying in from abroad. Some classes are upstairs and there is no elevator.

I need someone to assist me/push my wheelchair. Do you provide such assistance?

Unfortunately we do not have the resources to provide personal assistance or personal care.

I have difficulty sleeping. I need a private/quiet room

While recognizing this is a very real problem for some people, we cannot guarantee private rooms. A waiting list will be compiled and we recommend booking early.

It is impossible to guarantee quietness. We do our best to put small children, youth, adults and older folk in separate areas. Most rooms are dorms.
